North Korea's foreign minister calls Trump's U.N. address 'sound of dog barking'

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho called U.S. President Donald Trump's address back to the United Countries "the sound of a dog barking", dismissing Trump's comments that the Assembled States might be compelled to "absolutely destroy" North Korea.

"There is a sayings that goes: 'Notwithstanding when canines bark, the parade goes on'," said Ri in broadcast comments to columnists before a lodging close to the United Nations Headquarter in New York.

"On the off chance that (Trump) was surprising us with dog-barking sounds then he is clearly dreaming."

At the point when solicited by journalists what he thought from Trump calling North Korean pioneer Kim Jong Un "rocket man", Ri joked, "I feel frustrated about his associates."

Ri is slated to make a U.N. speech on Friday.

His remarks were the main authority response from North Korea after Trump had issued his sternest cautioning yet to Pyongyang in his deliver to the United Nations, asking part states to cooperate to detach the Kim regime until the point when it stops its threatening conduct.

In the event that North Korea undermines the Assembled States or its partners, Trump stated: "We will have no real option except to thoroughly destroy North Korea."

"Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his administration," he included.

South Korea's presidential office had later said Trump's notice to North Korea had been "firm and particular".
