The Federal Government on Sunday uncovered that it has pulled back the assignment of two individuals from the Board of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission, ICPC.
Those whose assignments were pulled back are Maimuna Aliyu and Sa'ad Alanamu.
The divulgence was made by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Acting President, Laolu Akande, by means of his twitter handle.
As per Akande, "We are venturing down two of the new ICPC board chosen people who have continuous examination issues with the commission as this introduces a conflict.
"While presence of assertions or petitions against somebody should'nt really preclude them from contemplations for arrangements.
"This case introduces a characteristic as we have affirmed that the office in which they are to serve is for sure researching them."
Following their assignments by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo a week ago, reports came up asserting that the two nominees were being researched on defilement accusations.
